Real Homes, Real Results: See What a Fresh Exterior Paint Job Can Do for Curb Appeal
If you’ve ever browsed homes on Zillow and thought, “That place has potential, but it needs some love,” you’re not alone. As professional painters in the Western Treasure Valley, we see it all the time. A tired paint job can drag down your curb appeal—even if everything else about your home is in great shape.
That’s why we decided to have a little fun. We took real listing photos from homes in our area (Payette, Fruitland, Ontario, Caldwell, and beyond), and imagined what they could look like with a modern paint palette and a fresh exterior makeover.
The transformations? Pretty stunning.
Why Exterior Paint Makes All the Difference
Whether you’re prepping to sell or just want to love the way your home looks when you pull in the driveway, exterior paint is one of the highest-impact updates you can make. Not only does it boost curb appeal, but it also protects your siding, brick, and trim from the elements.
And when done right—with proper prep, premium paint, and experienced pros—it lasts.
Here in the Western Treasure Valley, where our weather runs the full range from snowy winters to hot, dry summers, a solid exterior paint job isn’t just about looks. It’s about longevity and home value.
Here’s What We Did:
Using photos of real homes, we digitally applied updated paint schemes based on popular 2025 exterior color trends and some of our personal favorites.
Here’s a look at a few of our favorite “virtual remodels”:
🖌️ 1. Repose Gray & Alabaster

This soft and welcoming combo gave the original beige home a much-needed refresh.
We used Sherwin-Williams Repose Gray for the siding and Alabaster for the brick and trim.
To finish the look, we added a modern wood door with clean lines and glass. It’s amazing how timeless and inviting this feels.
🖤 2. Iron Mountain by Benjamin Moore

Talk about moody and bold—in the best way.
We painted the siding and garage a dark slate tone, lime washed the brick and a black front door for balance.
This one oozes sophistication and makes the landscaping pop.
🌿 3. Jogging Path & Alabaster

We took a dated gray-blue house and gave it an elegant, earthy upgrade with Jogging Path by Sherwin-Williams on the siding and creamy Alabaster for the trim and brick.
Classic but elevated.
🎨 4. Revere Pewter & Black Beauty

This home had great structure—it just needed some contrast.
We painted the siding Revere Pewter and went bold with a black garage door using Black Beauty by Benjamin Moore.
The result feels fresh, clean, and high-end without being flashy.
☀️ 5. Olympic Mountains & Wood Accents

A modern wood front door paired with Olympic Mountains by Benjamin Moore turned this basic beige house into a showstopper.
The light, warm tones still feel inviting—but way more modern.
